2022 Key Dates

Saturday, July 2 Everyone Early bird registration OPENS (save $10!).
Saturday, July 2 Presenters Only Applications to present at History Camp America opens—See the Presenting page for details and link to the application form.
Sunday, July 31 Everyone Deadline for early bird registration—Register by midnight (Eastern) and save $10.
Saturday, August 20 Presenters Only Applications to present at History Camp America close—See the Presenting page for details and link to the application form.
Wednesday, August 31 Presenters Only Presenters informed of status of application (latest date).
Monday, September 5 Presenters Only Last date for accepted speakers to confirm presentation offer and supply updated/amended title, description, bio, and headshot for every speaker or presenter in the session.
Thursday, September 15 Presenters Only Recorded presentations due.
Friday, October 21 Everyone Register by October 21 to give yourself a good chance of getting your box before the event.
Late-October Everyone History Camp America 2022 presentation schedule posted. (All recorded sessions will be available to registrants after the event—so you won’t miss a session!)
Week of October 30 Everyone History Camp America 2022 log-in information sent to all registrants via email (latest date, October 29). Registrants will also receive this information the day of History Camp America. Please note that the email you used during registration will be the email this information is sent to.
Tuesday, November 1 Presenters Only Training begins with all speakers and historic sites—ongoing and as needed.
Week of October 30 Everyone History Camp America 2022 log-in information sent to all registrants via email (latest date, October 29). Saturday, November 5 Everyone History Camp America 2022!
Broadcast begins at 8:45 am Eastern. Attendees are encouraged to join us earlier to sign in, test their connection, and start chatting with other history lovers from across the country. Or join us at 7:30 am Eastern for yoga from historic Ximenez-Fatio House Museum in St. Augustine, FL. All History Camp America 2022 registrants will receive their login information about two weeks after History Camp.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

It will be online on November 5 and, when you register, you will have exclusive access to the live event and recordings of all of the sessions and tours for 3 months after the event.

Where do I register?

You will receive your unique login information to the email address you provided during registration a few days before the event and again on the day of the event.

Please make sure that each registration has a unique email address—this will be used to log-into History Camp America. One registration per internet-connected streaming device (computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.). One registration can cover your entire household—so you and your family can all watch together from one device!

The sessions and tour sites will be announced over the coming weeks. We’ll post to this site and social media, and we’ll include them in the update e-mail.

The History Camp America 2022 Box contains exclusive History Camp America merchandise as well as items for history lovers that have been provided by two of our sponsors—Liberty & Co. and The History List—as well as The Memorabilia Company and The Pursuit of History, the non-profit organization that makes History Camp possible.

Each “Registration with Box” includes one History Camp America Box.

Registration Note: We have provided an option to register without receiving the box.

History Camp America Boxes will begin shipping on October 5, 2022, and typically ship within three business days of your order:

– Boxes will begin shipping on October 5, 2022.
– If you register on or before October 21 you should receive your box before History Camp America.
– If you register after October 21 your box may not arrive in time for the event.

Of course there’s no guarantee regarding how long it will take to get the box to you. All boxes are shipped via United States Postal Service (USPS), and the earlier you register the greater the likelihood that you receive your box before the event.

International shipping is available at checkout for a shipping surcharge. The recipient will be liable for any VAT or custom taxes due. Thank you for your understanding.

Yes, registration and the History Camp America Box can be given as a gift. Check the box that says, “This is a gift. I want to add a gift message” and then add their e-mail address in the next box that appears.

Yes, we ship the History Camp America 2022 Box worldwide. The shipping cost depends on the destination country. You can determine the exact shipping amount by placing the items you want in your shopping cart, going to the checkout page, and entering your shipping address.

The shipping amount will be automatically calculated as you add or remove items from your cart. We offer USPS First-Class Package International, USPS Priority Mail International, and UPS Worldwide. Note, that here is no guaranteed time frame for delivery of your package.

Priority Mail International and UPS Worldwide are more expensive than First Class International, but they are faster and include door-to-door tracking of your package, so you will know exactly where it is at any time. If delivery speed and traceability are important to you, these two are the choice for you.

If your package gets held at customs you will be responsible for communication and any additional costs required to release your item(s).

The History Camp America t-shirt is a men’s-sized long-sleeved shirt, made of 100% American grown cotton.

Cancellation + Refunds (midnight, eastern time, for all dates provided)
– Before September 20, 2022 = Full refund
– September 21, 2022–October 20, 2022 = $50 refund and History Camp America 2022 box is yours to keep
– After October 20, 2022 = No refund

History Camp America 2022 is on par with the pricing for our largest in-person History Camp event, History Camp Boston.

Surprisingly, the infrastructure for presenting a multi-channel event for the number of people we expect to attend is several times the expense to rent the space for our in-person History Camp events.

And while an online event can’t duplicate every aspect of an in-person event, we’ve added several elements that are similar and others that add more to the experience, including…

  • Every session will be recorded and everyone who registers will have access to these recordings for 3 months past the event date. Access to recordings are only available for registrants.
  • Virtual tours of historic sites—with exclusive behind-the-scenes content just for History Camp.
  • The History Camp America box, loaded with exclusive event merchandise as well as items for history lovers from our sponsors and supporters.
  • Breakout areas for follow-up discussions.
  • A virtual space for meeting and mingling after the event.
  • Yoga to start the day and a mid-day stretch.
  • Cooking demonstrations at lunch.

And because History Camp America will be online, there is no travel required—which means that anyone from anywhere can join us. Not only does an online event open doors to more history fans to participate, it has also made it possible for more presenters from all across the country to participate!

After the event, you will receive instructions on how to access all the recorded sessions and tours here on on HistoryCamp.org.

This login will be unique to you and to the email address you provided at the time of registration and will be valid for 12 months past the date of the event.

Recordings will include presentations only, not chats. Please note that you cannot share this login or re-broadcast or share materials from this site as per the terms of use for the site.

Yes! But you have to register early!

Early Registration for this conference is valid until midnight (eastern) on July 31, 2022. Until then all registrations are discounted by $10 + History Camp America boxes ship for free.

Our sponsors may have discount codes available. We encourage you to check out their sites, sign up for their e-mail newsletters, and follow them on their social media accounts.

Please note that History Camp has always been a level-priced event—we all pitch-in, including speakers and volunteers—we do not offer special pricing for students, faculty, seniors, or other considerations.

History Camp is an event where attendees can share and learn in a supportive, casual, and fun educational environment.

In short, we expect:
– Courteous personal conduct.
– No spamming or solicitation.
– No streaming or sharing of event material through to other websites or any other forms of rebroadcast or re-transmission. No sharing of our speakers’ copyrighted presentations and/or materials in any way or form.

If you witness any offensive behavior, please try and screen-grab the interaction and email it and the name of the offender immediately to help@historycamp.org.

Anyone in violation of our terms may be removed from participation—for any cause and without explanation. Those ejected from the event will not receive a refund and may be barred from accessing recorded content.

All registrations will appear on your credit card as The Pursuit of History, Inc., the registered non-profit organizer of History Camp and other history-focused programming and events.
