This is a special tour for History Camp which will only take place this once. It includes stops and content that are not part of the public tours.
It is led by Professor Emerson “Tad” Baker of Salem State University, author of A Storm of Witchcraft: The Salem Trials and the American Experience. Tad has spoken at several History Camps and is graciously volunteering his time to conduct this free tour.
Stops include the site of the Salem jail and courthouse in 1692, and the locations where many witch trials participants lived, including judges, accusers and victims. The tour will including some little-known locations including the site where it is believed that Giles Corey was pressed to death, as well as the burial sites of three witchcraft judges.
The tour will be rain or shine.
If there is interest after the tour, some of us may head to the outstanding Peabody-Essex Museum. It is very close to where our tour starts.

There is no charge, but registration is required. Space is limited, and we may very well fill up the spots available, so register as soon as you know you can attend. If you later find out that you can’t, please go back in to Eventbrite and cancel your registration so that someone else can use your spot.
