Anne Butler
Four Mile Historic Park, Denver, Colorado
As a working farm, visitors to Four Mile Historic Park (fourmilepark.org) can revisit the early days of Denver and what the city was like more than 160 years ago. The Four Mile House is one of Denver’s last standing stagecoach stops and Denver’s oldest standing structure.
Anne Butler is an Education Specialist at Four Mile Historic Park (fourmilepark.org), Denver, Colorado. Anne was born and raised in Denver, growing up minutes from the Park. She was obsessed with Laura Ingalls Wilder as a child and still has her rag doll from a visit to Laura’s Mansfield house in elementary school. She enjoys telling people that she gets paid to dress up and teach kids about Colorado history. Her favorite parts of the American Girl books were the “Looking Back” sections in the back that really brought history to life.
