Spend a Saturday with some of the most interesting people in history. Each year more than 300 history lovers from across the country gather at History Camp Boston, the only event of its kind in the country. History Camp is a casual conference that brings together adults from all walks of life for 50 sessions on all aspects of history. And this is all history, no modern politics. (We draw the line at the Nixon administration.) If you’re a history buff, History Camp is for you! Learn more about what you’ll experience at History Camp> Suffolk University Law School, 120 Tremont Street, Boston, MA Doors Open — 8:00 am — Light welcome breakfast and coffee/tea served Exhibit Hall and Vendors — 8:00 am–6:00 pm Lunch— 12:15 pm–1:30 pm — On your own or join us for a buffet lunch. Select the registration option with the lunch. (Since we need to commit to the number of people several days in advance, you won’t be able to add that the day of History Camp.) Sessions—See the Sessions and Speakers page. Accessibility—Suffolk University Law School is a modern building with excellent accessibility. Elevators serve all floors and in the classrooms there are ramps and special seating areas as well as wearable assisted listening devices that amplify the speech audio via a pair of headphones. |

Your table registration includes a full day registration for one person and lunch. You will have half of a 6′ table. | Who puts on History Camp? | History Camp is a project of the non-profit organization The Pursuit of History. History Camp was founded in 2014 and in 2019 The Pursuit of History was created to expand History Camp and develop other innovative programs that bring together adults from all walks of life.
History Camp is the largest event of its kind in the country and each year draws more history lovers to Boston from throughout the Northeast and beyond than any event other than the 250th anniversary reenactments. As of July 2, we have people coming from 24 states all across the country to be part of History Camp Boston. And again this year, The Pursuit of History is entirely privately funded through individual donations. The organization receives no government funding of any kind and no grants from local, state, or Federal organizations. Please join us as a Friend of History Camp or contact Lee Wright to discuss a larger donation or other ways you or your organization can support History Camp or our other programs. |

Thursday, August 7 and Friday, August 8The Pursuit of History: The Siege and Liberation of BostonNew this year and taking place the two days before History Camp, dive deep into history where it happened in this program for a small number of dedicated history lovers. Led by J.L. Bell, we’ll go behind the scenes at the Paul Revere House, travel to redoubts in Boston few people ever see, and hear from other authors and experts on the Battle of Bunker Hill, the death of Joseph Warren, what it was like in Boston during the siege, and what people returned to once the siege was lifted. |

Thursday, August 6 – Friday, August 7, 2025The Pursuit of History: The Siege and Liberation of BostonMake your History Camp weekend a truly special week! On the two days before History Camp, we are holding another in our series of Pursuit of History Weekends for the 250th. On August 6 and 7 we will focus on the Crown’s response to the outbreak of war on April 19, 1775. While this is a very different type of event than History Camp—completely curated, focused on one time period and set of events, limited to 40 people—we arranged the schedule so that individuals who are coming for History Camp Boston could consider coming two days earlier for The Pursuit of History: The Siege and Liberation of Boston. This event will sell out—as of May 1, about half the spots are already taken from people who have participated in previous Pursuit of History Weekends. (Note that this is a separate registration at higher price point than History Camp.) |
