Come visit the Rebecca Nurse Homestead, the only home of a victim of the 1692 Salem Village Witch-Hunt that is preserved and open to the public. See the original c.1678 house where 71-year-old Rebecca Nurse lived in March of 1692 when she was arrested on charges of witchcraft. The guided tour also includes the exact replica of the 1672 Salem Village Meetinghouse which was built for Three Sovereigns for Sarah (1985), and the Nurse Family Burying Ground, where Nurse was believed to be buried along with other witch trials victim George Jacobs Sr., which is on the back side of the 30-acre farm and not part of the museum’s regular guided tour. In addition to including the cemetery on this special History Camp tour, visitors will be able to see several items from the museum’s collections that are not regularly on display.
