Requested Sessions

This year as a part of registration, people were asked about topics they wanted to see covered. Since then, sessions have been added on several mentioned, but others have been covered, or are so broad that they might be explored with additional sessions:
  • How the arts, including theatre and literature, were introduced into Boston. ¬†How did it change the Puritan hold on the City?
  • A session on food.
  • More reenactors.
  • A session for college students studying history or museum studies
  • Pirates
  • The debates surrounding the creation of the US Bank and American Money. I want to understand money and how it could have been different had they made a different decision.
  • African American and Native American Life
  • The origins and reasons for creating the Electoral College
  • Abolition
  • The Civil War
  • Very interested in genealogy, immigration, and the history of ethnic groups in New England
  • Women in history
  • Boston and the American Revolution
  • I hope the JP Historical Society will do something on Jamaica Plain
  • WWII
  • Women’s issues
  • Local history of Boston, Cambridge
  • Revolutionary war Boston
  • Reconstruction
  • Landfill of flat of Beacon Hill & Back Bay
  • How can we tell inspiring local stories in public space
  • Colonial Wars
